Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy has spoken out about his decision to move to Saudi club Al Nassr, stating that his main motivation was to win trophies rather than money.

Speaking in an interview, Mendy said, “I have always been driven by a desire to win and achieve success, and I believe that Al Nassr provides me with the best opportunity to do so.”

“While the financial aspect of the move is certainly appealing, my primary focus is on adding more trophies to my collection and making a positive impact on the team,” Mendy added.

The French defender also mentioned that he is excited about the challenge of playing in a new league and adapting to a different style of football.

Despite facing criticism for his decision to move away from one of the top clubs in Europe, Mendy remains confident in his choice and is determined to prove his worth at Al Nassr.

With his eyes set on success and silverware, Mendy is ready to give his all for his new team and make a mark in Saudi football.

Only time will tell if Mendy’s move to Al Nassr will pay off in terms of trophies, but one thing is clear – his passion for winning remains undiminished.
